Walls, floors, doors & more!

I have to admit, sometimes I just think that road life is for me. The bus is quite huge and accommodating in the back, where Lewis, Garrett and I sleep. Their are (usually) only two other guys on the bus, so we all pretty much fit quite comfortably. Then their is the fact that its a lot of communal space. We all clean up after ourselves. You can't really not because there would be no counter space if you left anything out. The bus driver sweeps the floors when needed, Washes the sheets every couple weeks, and the food is bountiful (thanks to a strategic rider). When I get home, I do the cooking, the vacuuming, dishes, laundry, errands, gardening, and make sure Lewis doesn't do anything that could get him hurt. Garrett also does his part, but just seems that there is always things that need to be done. So when we got home the first night, I almost missed the ease of bus living. I had a million things on my to do list and was beginning to feel overwhelmed. I walked into our new cottage the next morning. Lewis was still sleeping, so I snuck a few minutes to see the progress. The sky was overcast but every room was still illuminated. It was my first time seeing the walls AND the floors in. The house is so bright and white. I started to get the butterflies. Thinking about my kitchen! my big(er) kitchen with new appliances. Where I get to cook and clean for my growing family. A new couch, a new bed, and all our old antiques crammed into every nook and cranny because Garrett is a hoarder. These images swam in my head and (almost) every anxious feeling I had melted into nothing. Just peace and excitement.

Coming home to this after 20 + days, we were a bit blown away by the progress that was made. Electrical is done,  insulation, dry wall, floors, septic, heating/cooling. I feel like I could almost start staying there tomorrow! They still have somethings to do but we are getting close. Next post I do might be the finished product before furnishings

For the floor we used an oak wood that was called antique white

We were going to do ship and lap walls, but we hang a lot of art so we decided with just normal walls.
